Winter’s bloom – exploring the botanic gardens in CHCH

My highlight of CHCH was discovering the wonderfully lush the botanic gardens, even in the grip of winter where colours had faded and leaves blown away. It has been so long since I played with my camera and I delight in capturing plants who are so often overlooked in daily life.

I was a little obsessed with the strange, pink, cabbage like plants that surrounded the pond. They were so lush and full of life, they were just captivating. Anything thats pink and weird looking gets my vote!
