It’s December, the shops are full of tinsel, santa’s are parading the streets and jingles are filling the air. It’s that time of year again.
It was only this time last year that I was starting to create. Tentatively with pencils, then pastels, water colours – always tying to find new ways to blend colour together.
What a long way my creativity has come? My ability to express myself without purpose grows stronger everyday and I delight in the constant experimentation and the never knowing what the finished creation will look like.
I was struck by the need to paint something Christmassy, although I didn’t know it until I was halfway through.
It needed to shimmer like tinsel and be layers of green and red, of hope and excitement.
